When I first found out I was pregnant I knew it was going to be a hard and tough journey naturally, but I never expected it to be anything like it is right now. With me being a brand new, first time mother, I knew I would have a ton of new obstacles to face and come my way. But if you would’ve told me I would be expecting and preparing myself to give birth in the middle of a massive global health pandemic I would probably have laughed at you 8 months ago.

I am naturally one of those people who watch the news and read up on the current news faithfully daily. I have been that way since I was younger and it hasn’t changed the older I have become. Really, the older I become the more I pay attention to the news because I’m now understanding more and more each day and it directly affects me more now as an adult. I am a current United States citizen but one thing I can remember is seeing reports of the COVID-19 outbreak in China beginning to spread in our newspapers and online news sources back during the month of November 2019. I didn’t know what it was and I can admit I sort of brushed it off and disregarded it because it was always a smaller headline and due to the fact that it was not in the United States at the time.
